DP World Tour stars all say same thing about amateur scores at Hero Indian Open
Some of the world's best DP World Tour players believe amateur hacks would not break 100 at this week's Hero Indian Open venue, DLF G&CC.
Some of the best DP World Tour players have all commented that an 18-handicap golfer would get absolutely nowhere near breaking 100 at this week's Hero Indian Open venue, DLF G&CC.
In fact the majority of players interviewed think an 18-handicap golfer would end up with a score nearer 120 than 100.
One pro thinks nearer 150, maybe even 160!
Two think an 18-handicapper might be left calling the course DNF G&CC!

With a par of 72, most golfers off 18 would be hoping to shoot 90 to play to their handicap.
Anything better than that is a bonus.
Around DLF G&CC, however, anything around 100 would be considered some sort of miracle, according to DP World Tour pros.
So what makes the Gary Player-designed DLF G&CC such an exacting test?
Well for starters, it's not the shortest course in the world at just over 7,200 yards.
But the real test is being able to plot your way around all of the dramatic landscaping and bunkering on the golf course.

Even DP World Tour pros struggle around here, and have done for the past four renewals of the Indian Open.
Taking a quick look at the stats from last year's tournament that was won by Germany's Marcel Siem (-14) and 11 of the 18 holes played over par.
There were just seven bogey-free rounds recorded at the 2023 Hero Indian Open.
The cut mark also fell at 4-over par, which is considered high on the DP World Tour.
This year should be no different, either.
There is a Lakes Nine (1-9), which as its name suggest features plenty of water, and a Quarry Nine (10-18) that is equally tough.
There are giant carries off a number of tees, and many of the DP World Tour players in the field this week consider an 18-handicapper would struggle to clear them.
DP World Tour stars Todd Clements, Niklas Nørgaard, Calum Hill, Richard Mansell, Matteo Manassero, Simon Forsström, Jens Dantorp, Rafa Cabrera Bello and Jeff Winther all gave their thoughts about what an amateur hack would shoot on the course ahead of this week's Hero Indian Open.
The majority suggested a score between 105 and 120 was probably fair, while others felt nearer 150 or even a DNF (did not finish) would be most likely.
