Former Masters champion Sergio Garcia has confirmed he has signed a multi-year contract extension with LIV Golf

The 45-year-old Spaniard was among the first wave of players to be recruited by the Saudi Arabia-funded circuit in 2022.

Since then, Garcia has been the captain of the Fireballs team, picking up two individual victories on the breakaway tour.

There has been speculation in recent weeks over whether or not several high-profile players would extend their deals.

The contracts of major champions Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau expire at the end of 2026.

Dustin Johnson's future was uncertain but he has already agreed a new contract to return as captain of the 4 Aces.

At the beginning of the week, Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter confirmed they have agreed new deals.

And Garcia has become the latest to put pen to paper ahead of the 2026 campaign, which begins next February under the lights in Riyadh.

Garcia has also confirmed that his teammates for the forthcoming season will be David Puig, Josele Luis Ballester and Luis Masaveu

Masaveu joined Garcia's team at the beginning of 2024, but was replaced halfway through the season by Ballester.

Ballester is a highly-rated former U.S. Amateur champion who recently grabbed his first professional victory at the PIF Saudi International.

Massaveu, 22, replaces Abraham Ancer in the line-up after the Mexican was traded to Joaquin Niemann's Torque.

Ancer filled the spot left by the relegated Mito Pereira.

"Returning to Fireballs GC and LIV Golf reinforces everything we are building," Garcia said.

"With David and Josele playing well in 2025 and Luis joining the team for 2026, our identity and competitive edge are stronger than ever, rooted in pride, purpose, and our collective emotional connection to the game of golf.

"LIV Golf continues to set the pace globally, and I’m committed to leading this group as we push forward and keep raising the standard."

The news means that almost all of the LIV Golf teams for the 2026 season are complete.

Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers need a replacement for the relegated Andy Ogletree.

The two graduates from the International Series' order of merit are yet to be assigned teams, though it's likely they will be "wildcards".

Two more additions will be added to the LIV Golf League via next month's "Promotions" event in the United States.
