Which LIV Golf players have entered Final Qualifying for The Open?

Several LIV Golf League players have entered Final Qualifying to try and punch their ticket to the forthcoming Open Championship.

The final men's major of the year takes place at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland over 17-20 July. 

Final Qualifying is being held over four sites on 1 July. 

Competitors in Final Qualifying will play 36 holes at Burnham & Berrow, Dundonald Links, Royal Cinque Ports and West Lancashire. 

Notable LIV recruits who are trying to get a spot in the field at Royal Portrush include Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood. 

Poulter has not played in a major championship since the landmark 150th Open at St Andrews in 2022. 

The 49-year-old is playing at Royal Cinque Ports alongside Graeme McDowell. 

His 20-year-old son Luke is also in the field. 

Elsewhere, former Masters champion Sergio Garcia has decided not to enter. 

Garcia is currently projected to earn his spot at Royal Portrush as the leading LIV player but needs to play well at their stop in Dallas this week. 

The R&A extended an olive branch to the PIF-backed breakaway in February by offering a direct pathway into the major for the top-performing LIV player not otherwise exempt.
