Kurt Kitayama fired weekend rounds of 60 and 65 to win the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota.
Kitayama, 32, made a mammoth 20 birdies on Saturday and Sunday, which is the most ever on a weekend in more than 20 years on the PGA Tour.
The American is now a two-time winner on the PGA Tou having won his first tournament at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March 2023.
Kitayama prevailed by one shot on 23-under par, which was one shot shy of the the 3M Open tournament record set by Lee Hodges in 2023.
Sam Stevens finished in solo second on 22-under par, with Matt Wallace, David Lipsky, Pierceson Coody and Jake Knapp rounding out the top five on 20-under par.
After narrowly making the halfway cut, Kitayama raced into contention on Saturday with a magical round of 11-under 60.
That pulled him from being out of contention to within a shot of the lead heading into the final round.
Kitayama then raced to the top of the board when playing the first eight holes in 6-under par on Sunday.
He dropped a shot on the 11th but quickly rebounded with birdies on the 12th and 14th to open up a three-shot lead.
Kitayama handed back his second shot of the round at the par-3 17th to only lead by one heading down the par-5 18th.
But his job was made easier when both Stevens made par and Knapp made bogey up ahead of him.
Kitayama kept his composure down the last and made par to card a brilliant 65 and see out a narrow one-shot victory on 23-under par.
20 birdies for Kurt Kitayama on the weekend alone!

The tie for third for England's Wallace marks his best finish of the season, and very much keeps him in the race to earn one of Luke Donald's six captain's picks on the European Ryder Cup team for the first time in his career this September,
Wallace has come close a couple of times to make the Ryder Cup team but he has narrowly missed out.
Many analysts and golf fans consider Wallace is made for matchplay golf at the Ryder Cup as a result of aggressive and fiery playing style.
Wallace spoke openly about wanting to make Donald's team after the 3M Open.

I reckon if you said to Matt Wallace you can either win the FedEx Cup or play in the Ryder Cup, he’d choose the latter. pic.twitter.com/u2fWJXGmuI

Sweden's Alex Noren also threw his hat into the ring for a pick with a respectable tie for seventh on 19-under par.
Noren represented the European Ryder Cup team for the first and only time in 2018 at Le Golf National.
He played well too, taking 2 points from a possible 3 in Paris.
