Gary Woodland will take a narrow one-stroke lead over Nicolai Hojgaard heading into the final round of the Texas Children's Houston Open at Memorial Park.
Woodland posted a solid 65 on Saturday but Hojgaard fared two shots better alongside him to trim the deficit atop the leaderboard.
America's Woodland now finds himself at 18-under par and one shot clear of Denmark's Hojgaard.
Hojgaard is seeking a first PGA Tour title and his first win around the world since capturing the DP World Tour Championship in November 2023.
Woodland is going in search of a fifth career title on the PGA Tour and his first since the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach.
In August 2023, Woodland told the public he had been diagnosed with a brain lesion, and he underwent lengthy brain surgery on 18 September 2023.
In February 2025, Woodland was then was awarded the PGA Tour Courage Award.
Woodland and Hojgaard have pulled nicely clear of the chasing pack, with defending champion Min Woo Lee (67) and Michael Thorbjornsen (68) back on 12-under par in a tie for third.
Sam Stevens (67) and Jason Day (68) then round out the top five on 11-under par.
The PGA Tour are once again sending players out in groups of three in the final round.
Lee will join Woodland and Hojgaard in the final group on Sunday.
All players will tee off the par-4 1st.
