Mexico Open Round 3 Tee Times: Andrew Novak takes three-shot lead into weekend at Vidanta Vallarta
Andrew Novak takes a commanding three-shot lead in Mexico as he looks to close out a second PGA Tour title.
Andrew Novak will headline Saturday's third round at the Mexico Open after establishing a three-shot lead at the halfway stage of the tournament.
The American fired a sensational 10-under-par 61 on Friday to move to 14-under overall, opening up a three-shot advantage over a five-man chasing pack.
Novak will play alongside Matthieu Pavon and amateur Kihei Akina in the final group, with the trio scheduled to tee off at 11:51am local time (CST) from the first tee.
The 31-year-old is chasing his first individual PGA Tour title and the second of his career, having partnered Ben Griffin to win the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans team event.
Griffin is among those three shots behind his good friend on 11-under-par, alongside Pavon, Akina, Adrien Dumont de Chassart and Kensei Hirata.
There is plenty of interest elsewhere in Saturday's draw, particularly for home favourite Alvaro Ortiz. The Mexican is 9-under-par and will tee off at 11:07am alongside Garrick Higgo and Luke Clanton.
England's Marco Penge is also firmly in contention at 10-under-par and gets his third round underway at 11:18am alongside Jackson Suber and Doug Ghim.
The third round begins at 9:50am local time, with players going off both the first and 10th tees.
