Michael Brennan lands second PGA Tour title at Wyndham Championship
Michael Brennan seized the opportunity at Sedgefield Country Club.
Michael Brennan landed his second PGA Tour title at the Wyndham Championship.
The 24-year-old shared the lead with his compatriot Beau Hossler heading into the final round at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina.
But he seized the opportunity on Sunday, carding a 6-under 64 to finish two shots clear at 21-under par after Hossler could manage only a 67.
It represents Brennan's second PGA Tour title and first since he won the Bank of Utah Championship last October.
His victory comes with a number of perks, including an invite to the 2027 Masters Tournament and a cheque for $1.53m.
Brennan has also rocketed up the FedEx Cup standings to 46th.

Only the top 70 at the conclusion of this tournament were assured of a start at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis next week.
Brennan began the week outside the top 100.
Brooks Koepka was among those to miss out and described his efforts this season as "pathetic" since re-joining the PGA Tour from LIV Golf.
Major champions Jason Day and Keegan Bradley also saw their seasons end prematurely.
Brennan hit the turn in 5-under 30 after making five consecutive birdies from the 4th.
He made par at the 10th but dropped a shot at the 11th after finding himself out of position with his tee shot.
Another birdie at the 13th saw him pull clear and he signed off in style by draining a 13-foot birdie putt at the last.
"I did a great for nine holes," he told Golf on CBS.
"I felt really good on the front line, just playing my game. I was really staying within myself, hitting good shots, felt like I was really in control.
"Got a little nervous around 10-11. I made a really nice par putt on 12 and that kind of steadied me a little bit going through.
"I'm just glad to make a few putts coming in."
When asked what it means to advance to the postseason, Brennan said: "It's everything.
"I mean, I don't want to be done playing golf [this season].
"I feel like I've played the best golf I have all year the last couple weeks.
"Unfortunately, a couple tough Sundays, but outside of that, I've been playing really, really solid.
"And I mean, this is my sixth week in a row, so seven's a lot, but I think I'm going to be perfectly happy running on fumes next week."
