The PGA Tour has shared a quote from Tiger Woods on the golf swing of Max Homa during the John Deere Classic.

Homa, 34, has endured a wretched run of form on the PGA Tour the past two seasons, but he has looked somewhere near his brilliant best for 54 holes at TPC Deere Run this week.

The six-time winner is winless in more than two years and he's only notched one top-20 finish all season.

That came with a T12 at The Masters in April.

Once ranked fifth in the world, Homa incredibly looks on from the 99th rung of the ladder.

But he's put all that to one side so far at the John Deere Classic as he closes in on a seventh PGA Tour title and his first since the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2023.

Homa trails defending champion Davis Thompson by one stroke heading into Sunday's final round.

It's something of a logjam leaderboard though with nine players within three shots of the lead.

Homa finds himself in a four-way tie for second on 14-under par.

Ahead of the final round, the PGA Tour has shared a 30-second clip of Homa's golf swing with a complimetary quote from golf legend Tiger Woods

Woods, 49, recently told the PGA Tour of Homa's swing: "I like his move... he's got a little cast at the top."

On setting up a golden chance for a seventh PGA Tour title on Sunday, Homa admits it's going to be nice to feel those butterflies on the 1st tee again.

"Golf has just been very boring for me this year," said an honest Homa.

"I haven't had a whole lot of stress, and you want to be stressed out.

"So I look forward to the butterflies in the morning; I look forward to the first tee shot.

"It's just nice to get to feel that again. It's been a while."
