Tiger Woods schedule

Predicting Tiger Woods' schedule these days is fairly easy given he's physically incapable of playing multiple events owing to the leg injuries he sustained during his 2021 car crash

Woods made his return to men's professional golf after that near fatal incident at the 2022 Masters and, since then has only played in eight events.

A month after his shock return at Augusta National that year, he withdrew from the PGA Championship. It was later revealed by former world number one Jason Day that he was forced to quit after screw in his leg pierced the skin.

Woods then went on to play in the landmark 150th Open at St Andrews despite the setback. A tearful Woods missed the cut and likely bid farewell to his final Open at the home of golf.

Things didn't get much better for Woods in the 2022-2023 season. His first and only PGA Tour start came at the Genesis Invitational at Riveira Country Club in Los Angeles.

Woods battled to a T-45 finish but the tournament was overshadowed after he was pictured passing a tampon to Justin Thomas after outdriving the golfer.

The 15-time major champion played once more that season, in Albany, at the Hero World Challenge. Woods finished 18th in the 20-man field.

Woods was more optimistic about his 2023-2024 season after he underwent another fusion surgery, this time on his ankle, that made walking much easier.

He played in the Genesis Invitational once again but was forced to withdraw early in the second round with a sickness bug.

Woods once again competed at Augusta National, finishing 60th at the 2024 Masters.

In May, Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club. It marked the 13th occasion he missed a cut in a major since turning professional in 1997.

Future plans

Woods has dismissed retiring and is hopeful his schedule could one day ramp up again to playing at least one PGA Tour event per month.

After competing at the PGA Championship, Woods said he was confident his game would get better 'in time'.

"Unfortunately, I just haven't played a whole lot of tournaments," he said.

"And not a whole lot of tournaments are on my schedule either.

"Hopefully everything will somehow come together in my practice sessions at home."
