Woods and his business partner Justin Timberlake came under heavy criticism over plans to convert the the New Picture House cinema - which dates back to the 1930s - into a food and drinks entertainment venue with golf simulators, virtual darts boards and other interactive activities.

Last month, the managing director of the Scottish-based venue, Mark Anand, admitted in an interview with The Courier that the business hasn't gone to plan and was experiencing "teething issues".
"Things broke that wouldn’t have in a single format business and we didn't do a good enough job of explaining what we had to offer," Anand told the publication. "So, when a customer walked in, there was confusion about what to expect and their experience wasn’t always smooth."

bunkered are now reporting that the building has been put up for sale as an "investment opportunity" by Shepherd Chartered Surveyors for offers over £650,000.
According to the report, the company backed by Woods and Timberlake has a lease to rent the North Street property until 2049 with the option to extend to 1974. The annual rent is £45,000.
