Truist Championship 2026 Prize Money: How much they're all playing for at Quail Hollow Club
Find out how much all 72 players are competing for at the PGA Tour's latest Signature Event of the season, the Truist Championship.
The PGA Tour returns to Quail Hollow Club this week for the 2026 Truist Championship, the sixth of eight Signature Events on the season, with a $20 million prize fund on offer.
Formerly known as the Wells Fargo Championship, the event is in its second year under Truist sponsorship and returns to its traditional Charlotte, North Carolina venue after last year’s edition was staged at Philadelphia Cricket Club due to the PGA Championship being hosted at Quail Hollow.
All eyes will once again be on Rory McIlroy, who headlines the field as a record four-time winner at Quail Hollow and makes his first appearance since successfully defending his Masters title last month.
World number one Scottie Scheffler is the big absentee this week, with the four-time major champion electing to take the week off to prepare his game from home ahead of the PGA Championship at Aronimink.
Collin Morikawa withdrew from the event on Monday.
Cameron Young, however, who defeated Scheffler by six shots to win the Cadillac Championship on Sunday, is in the field as he looks to become the first player to win three times on the PGA Tour this season.
Other notables in the field include an equally red-hot Matt Fitzpatrick, Xander Schauffele and Ludvig Aberg.
Defending champion Sepp Straka returns after lifting the trophy in 2025.
As a Signature Event on the PGA Tour, the Truist Championship carries one of the season’s most lucrative purses.
A total of $20 million is available, with the winner set to bank $3.6 million.
Payouts remain substantial throughout the leaderboard, reflecting the elevated status of the event.
GolfMagic has listed the full prize payouts for all 72 players in the field this week.
