Sungjae Im will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the Valspar Championship on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort.
Im birdied the 18th for a 2-under 69 on Saturday to progress to double digits on 11-under par. The 27-year-old South Korean is going in search of a third PGA Tour title and his first since October 2021.
Im completed three weeks of basic military training in South Korea in November 2025, rather than the standard 21-month mandatory service, following his 2023 Asian Games gold medal.
PGA Tour veteran Brandt Snedeker, 45, is two shots off the pace alongside David Lipsky on 9-under par.
Snedeker, who is seeking a landmark 10th PGA Tour title and his first since August 2018, took just 21 putts during a flawless round of 67.
Lipsky endured a rollercoaster round but made a clutch par save from six feet on 18 for a round of 70. The American is looking for a first PGA Tour title on Sunday.
Snedeker got in the house on 9-under first so he will join Im in the last match of the final round.
English duo Matt Fitzpatrick and Marco Penge both posted steady 68s alongside each other to round out the top five on 8-under par.
Fitzpatrick is looking to land his PGA Tour hat-trick and gain some immediate redemption in having lost by one shot to Cameron Young at The Players Championship last Sunday.
Penge will be attempting to win for the very first time on the PGA Tour having earned his card via the DP World Tour last season.
Elsewhere, Brooks Koepka threatened to move into contention on the front nine but the five-time major champion slipped back coming home with a 71 to remain at 4-under par.
