Scottie Scheffler will headline the field at next week’s Texas Children's Houston Open as the World No.1 ramps up preparations for The Masters.

The PGA Tour returns to Memorial Park Golf Course for the sixth consecutive year, with a strong 133-player field assembled for the 12th event of the season.

Scheffler arrives in Houston seeking his second win of 2026, having opened his campaign with victory at The American Express. Since then, the runaway World No.1 has looked slightly out of sorts by his own exceptional standards, posting finishes of 3rd, 4th, 12th, 24th and 22nd — including a tie for 22nd at The Players Championship.

For most players, that level of consistency would represent an excellent start to the season. But Scheffler has redefined expectations at the top of the game, making anything outside the top five feel unusually underwhelming. He will still start as the clear favourite in Houston as he targets a first victory in the event and the 21st PGA Tour title of his career.

Defending champion Min Woo Lee returns after claiming his maiden PGA Tour title here last season, where he held off both Scheffler and Gary Woodland in a dramatic finish. Woodland is also back in the field.

One of the standout storylines sees Brooks Koepka tee it up in Houston for the first time since 2021, marking a notable return following his departure from LIV Golf earlier this year.

The field is further bolstered by the likes of Rickie Fowler, Jason Day and Adam Scott, underlining the strength of the event in the final build-up to Augusta.

There is also a welcome return for Will Zalatoris, who is set to make his first start since the WM Phoenix Open. After a frustrating spell disrupted by back and ankle injuries, Zalatoris has now been cleared to resume competition.

Away from the leaderboard, several players including Woodland, Koepka and Lee will wear custom-designed shoes inspired by patients at Texas Children’s Hospital, helping raise awareness and funds for paediatric care and research.

The tournament gets under way on Thursday 26 March.
