The total prize purse for the 2024 edition of the tournament is a little bit different this year.
Last February, when Scottie Scheffler defended his title, the American bagged a whopping $3.6m from a $20m prize purse.
That was because the stop was one of the Tour's 'elevated' events. The term has been replaced to 'signature' for the 2023-2024 season.
However the Waste Management Phoenix Open was not listed as one of the bumper prize purse events for 2024.
That being said, there still is a considerable amount of money to play for.
The total prize purse for the Waste Management Phoenix Open is $8.8m. The winner will take home $1,584,000.
