How to watch the new TGL season tonight: Atlanta vs New York Live on TV and Stream
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's 2026 TGL season gets underway tonight; find out all the key details of the first match and how you can watch it.

The new TGL season gets underway tonight (Sunday 28 December), with a blockbuster championship rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club.
TGL is the innovative, tech-driven golf league created by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and TMRW Sports co-founder Mike McCarley, blending elite players, team match play and a fast-paced indoor format at the purpose-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Championship rematch to open the season
Atlanta and New York renew their rivalry after meeting in last season’s final, where Atlanta Drive GC lifted the SoFi Cup.
Atlanta sealed the title by winning the first two matches in the best-of-three final series, including a memorable comeback in Match Two. Trailing 3-0 after 11 holes, Atlanta turned the contest on its head thanks to clutch shots from Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel and Justin Thomas.
Atlanta return as defending champions tonight, although they will be without Justin Thomas, who is sidelined after undergoing back surgery in November.

How does the TGL format work?
TGL matches are played across 15 holes, split into two distinct sessions:
Triples (holes 1–9)
- Three-on-three team format
- Players rotate shots, ensuring everyone tees off, hits approach shots and putts
Singles (holes 10–15)
- Head-to-head matchups
- Each singles pairing plays two holes
Each hole is worth one point, with the team on the highest total winning the match.
Teams can also deploy a tactical “hammer”, which increases the value of a hole by one point. Each side has three hammers per match.
If a hole is tied, no points are awarded. Should the match finish level, the winner is decided by a closest-to-the-pin shootout.
