9. Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club

Situated just south of Bodmin in the heart of Cornwall, Lanhydrock is an open parkland course with tree-lined fairways. Although not the longest course around at 6,076 yards off the white tees, Lanhydrock is a cleverly structured course that gives all golfers plenty to think about, such as the driveable 279-yard par-four first hole with a large water hazard in front of the green...

10. Trevose Golf & Country Club

Trevose is one of the highlights for golf in this part of the country. This links course is on the north coast of Cornwall just outside Padstow. The championship course was designed by Harry Colt and there is also a nine-hole course that was designed by Peter Alliss, plus a second 18-hole track. Although the fairways are wide, when the wind gets up it becomes very difficult to shoot low scores, as the course record of 66 proves.
