Gripping the golf club correctly is one of the most important first steps you can take in our beautiful game.

STEP 1: SETTING THE HANDS

LEFT HAND:

The grip should sit across the palm of the left hand with the top of the club poking 1/2 inch out of the top of the hand, sitting nicely under the heel pad of the hand.

RIGHT HAND:

The grip should sit across the base of the fingers. When the hand closes the thumb pad should be situated snugly on top of the left thumb.
