PING launch new range of G430 Drivers, Fairway woods and Hybrids

PING has attempted to unlock more speed and distance through Carbonfly Wrap technology with the new G430 range in drivers, fairway woods and hybrids.

PING has today introduced the G430 family of drivers, fairway woods and hybrids, aiming to unlock more speed and distance through a number of engineering innovations.

The G430 driver family consists of three driver models: the MAX, the LST and the SFT. PING's engineering team used several new technologies common to all three models, adding specific advancements to each head.

This has contributed to ball-speed gains and a much better sound throughout the series. A shallower and thinner VFT forged face design is engineered with Spinsistency which is a proven technology in G425 fairway woods and hybrids.

The MAX remains the most forgiving and fits the widest range of golfers with a 460cc head. It has a 25g high-density tungsten moveable back weight which influences shot-shaping with draw, neutral and fade settings.

The LST (Low Spin Technology) driver uses Carbonfly Wrap, a lightweight composite that covers the crown and wraps the heel/toe section of the skirt to save weight and lower the centre of gravity for increased ball speed, less spin and a higher MOI.

This driver comes with an eight-layer, one-piece composite which saves 4g. The moveable 22g high-density tungsten back weight influences shot shaping between the draw, neutral and fade settings. It has a 440cc head.

The SFT (Straight Flight Technology) driver has a 460cc head and new to this design is a two-setting, moveable tungsten back weight of 22g that positions the centre of gravity to deliver 13 yards of right-to-left shot bend in the draw setting and another seven yards in the draw plus setting.

Carbonfly Wrap is used in the G430 fairway woods to deliver more distance by positioning the centre of gravity closer to the force line. This maximises ball speed which helps with longer and higher carries.

We have the MAX and the SFT models. The lightweight composite crown wraps into the heel and toe sections of the skirt. This saves 10g of weight which is relocated to achieve a lower centre of gravity and increases ball speed.

With Facewrap technology, a variable thickness, high-strength managing-steel face wraps into the sole and crown of the stainless-steel head. This generates more flex for faster ball speeds and a higher launch for more distance.

The variable roll radius of the Spinsistency improves performance across the face by reducing spin to increase ball speed from the maraging-steel face.

Each model is engineered to help add distance and forgiveness. The MAX fits the widest range of golfers with four options, while the larger head of the SFT is offered in three lofts with lighter swing weights.

The new G430 hybrids are also loaded with Carbonfly Wrap. PING's newest technology is the key to more distance and green-holding stopping power.

With Facewrap technology and Spinsistency, they deliver speed and performance golfers need to take on any approach shot with six different loft options.

The Carbonfly Wrap saves eight grams that are allocated to lower the centre of gravity for increasing ball speed. The thin, high-strength maraging-steel face wraps into the sole and crown of the stainless-steel body to increase flexing.

Spinsistency's variable roll radius creates less loft low in the face. This improves performance on thin shots by reducing spin and increasing ball speed for added distance.
