TaylorMade reveals Rory McIlroy's new irons at Memorial Tournament

TaylorMade has taken to social media to reveal Rory McIlroy's brand new P-7MB irons that the World No.1 will be playing with at this week's Memorial Tournament.

McIlroy, who is making his first start on the PGA Tour since finishing tied 11th at the Travelers Championship last month, has decided to make an iron adjustment to his bag ahead of today's first round.

The Northern Irishman had previously been using TaylorMade P730 irons ever since signing an equipment deal with the brand back in May 2017, but following testing sessions over recent weeks has now favoured the company's prototype P-7MB from 3-iron through to pitching wedge.

Images surfaced of McIlroy's bag yesterday, which also featured a fresh 60-degree wedge just in case Muirfield Village gets firmer during the weekend.

The P-7MB irons first appeared in the bag of Charley Hull two weeks ago during a recent Clutch Pro Tour event in England.

TaylorMade can't say too much more about these irons just yet, but TaylorMade's Chris Trott takes a closer look at McIlroy's full bag below...
