If you take you're golf game seriously, then shot tracking should most definitely be something that you look into in 2021 and the Shot Scope V3 GPS watch has already helped thousands of golfers improve their performance on the golf course.

With the help of modern technology, amateur golfers can get a better understanding of how they perform with each individual club and see exactly where it is they need to improve in order to bring their handicap down.

One of the best shot tracking devices on the market is the Shot Scope V3 watch, which not only provides you with your yardages like a normal GPS watch, but it tracks all of your data for you to analyse after every round.

Our equipment editor Alex took the Shot Scope V3 GPS watch on the course at Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate to put it to the test.

THE DETAILS

Shot Scope’s latest and most powerful innovation, V3, combines patented automatic performance tracking with ultra-accurate GPS technology in a perfectly sized package.

The V3 boasts a new daylight readable colour screen as well as ClubSense and PinCollect technologies that automatically detect shots and putts on the course.

Using the latest satellite technology, Shot Scope has produced the most accurate golf GPS on the market, accurate to just 30cm. This marks an enormous improvement on the standard unit average of three to five metres.

V3 is the most complete GPS watch in the game, providing dynamic distances to the front, middle and back of greens as well as front and carry distances for every hazard on over 35,000 pre-loaded golf courses.

V3 users have unlimited access to Tour-quality performance statistics with the touch of a button. More than 100 different analytics can be reviewed via the Shot Scope V3 mobile app or Shot Scope’s online dashboard on different clubs, tee shots, approaches, short game and putting.

In addition to shot tracking and pioneering GPS technology, the V3 features a new everyday watch mode. With a new slim profile and stylish band, V3 is the ideal watch for everyday use, on or off the course.

GOLFMAGIC VERDICT

From start to finish, the Shot Scope V3 makes shot tracking extremely easy.

Once Alex had finished his round and confirmed his score using the watch, he was able to take a deep dive into the data captured by the watch by using the app on his iPhone.

The first thing he looked at was his scorecard, which also showed his fairways and greens in regulation, which is done automatically by the watch, unlike some other shot tracking applications on the market.

As you complete more rounds using the V3, you can start to compare your performances and your data, something that Alex will be doing in the coming weeks.

Whilst on the Round Overview section, another fantastic feature appears when you select 'Holes' which shows a hole-by-hole map of the course and where you went with every shot. This feature was extremely accurate and required absolutely no input from Alex, which was very impressive and again, highlighted how easy this product is to use.

A new feature of the V3 watch is the Strokes Gained section which you can find under 'Performance' which compares your shot data to a Tour player.

Alex found this feature really interesting as it was great for him to understand how each part of his game compares with a tour player and from his results, it was obvious that his short game and putting need some serious work (sorry Alex).

The performance section also allows users to really deep dive into every club, with Alex highlighting his putting performance, which showed a range of data, including his number of one-putts and how he performed from certain distances on the greens.

As mentioned before, the benefits of the V3 will really start to show the more you use it, as comparing your data throughout the season will provide more accurate areas of improvement.

The fact that the Shot Scope V3 is so easy to use makes it the ideal product for the serious golfer who is looking to improve their game whilst out on the golf course.

Stay tuned to our YouTube channel as Alex will continue to use the V3 to show you guys how useful it can be as the season goes on.
