For Peter Millar, Spring is about layering in luxury
Beneath the American brand’s selection of versatile, timeless golf pieces is a commitment to craftsmanship that only reveals itself when you get up close.

While golf style will always be, at its heart, about the pursuit of the leisurely, it’s the pieces that get us between seasons in style and comfort that form the true heroes of our game’s collective wardrobe.
Layering pieces and transitional garments, designed as much to sit neatly underneath outerwear as they are to form the focal point of an outfit when conditions call for it, are the bedrock of great golf style – and a medium through which the finer details in luxury golf attire end up making all the difference.
No brand is more acutely aware of this fact than Peter Millar. Founded on the shores of North Carolina where unpredictable weather is an everyday part of life, Peter Millar was conceptualised with a singular goal of providing luxurious clothes with thoughtful details for a life on the course and equal wearability off it.
It’s perhaps most fitting that the brand’s journey began not with a performance polo or a pair of overly stretchy trousers, but a simple cashmere sweater, grounding its take on golf style firmly in the game’s more traditional, luxurious roots.
Millar’s range has, of course, expanded far beyond cashmere in the years since. Performance fabrics now intermingle strategically with natural fibres to create collections ranging from the performance focused right through to everyday clothes that retain an element of functionality should they be called into action on the course.
Running like a vein through the entire range, however, is Peter Millar’s unwavering commitment to imbuing its products with delightful details and thoughtful engineering that place a luxurious wearing experience at their very heart.

The brand’s upcoming Spring 2026 collection epitomises this, replete with strategic layering pieces that appear straightforward at first glance but set themselves apart thanks to their finer details.
The showpiece new collection comes in the form of the Ryder Jacket: a brand new 3-in-1 hybrid that combines a lightweight, windproof and water-resistant performance shell with a textured zip-out vest in a remarkably versatile design. The shell and vest can each be worn separately or together depending on conditions, while each are thoughtfully finished with side entry pockets, two-way front zippers and Crown Seal branded rivets.

Combining the traditional with the technical for the new season, Peter Millar’s iconic Albatross quarter-zip also returns. One of the brand’s most popular silhouettes, the Albatross is beloved not just for its performance on the course (made possible by its breathability and four-way stretch capabilities), but its more luxury-driven feel.
Made from a fabric with a heavy content of Pima cotton, the Albatross feels smooth and soft to the touch with a smart piqué knit. Suede-like accents on the placket and interior collar provide that added touch of luxury that makes all the difference in day to day wear.

Peter Millar always has one eye on the changing tides of golf fashion, and isn’t afraid to introduce new silhouettes into its line-up when its clear new trends have entered the game for good. Indicative of this is the new Pine Sugar-Stripe performance hoodie, designed to be layered over a golf polo and provide soft, four-way stretch layering in a more casually-inspired look.
The hoodie isn’t short on premium details, however. Made with a soft signature fabric, it has a smooth front for a classic, casual look and a micro-waffle back for softness and breathability. The package is finished with subtle nods to classic sportswear, with raglan sleeves, clean banded cuffs and a banded hem.

Details run throughout the entire range that champion Peter Millar’s commitment to functionality and understated elegance. The Sport collection is made entirely from matte fabrics to promote quieter wear and a more seamless swing, while the new Flow family incorporates strategic venting to optimise air flow on warmer days.
The brand’s outer garments are reinforced with additional fabric on the shoulder to resist abrasion from a golf bag, and at high impact areas to block wind and light rain. Double zips on zip-up garments allow them to “break” at the bottom, preventing the bunching that can sometimes obscure the ball at address, while waterproof pieces are finished with additional seam-sealing for use in the harshest conditions.
The result, as always, is clothing that complements any wardrobe, as ready for everyday life as it is the most high-pressure moments on the links.
