Duca del Cosma has been pioneering the spikeless golf shoe for a long time and earlier this year, the Italian brand launched its first spiked model, the HERITAGE.

The HERITAGE men’s spiked shoe is the star model from the 2019 range. Made from full-grain leather, the shoe is extremely comfortable and playing in wet conditions is never a problem, as the feet are protected and stay dry thanks to the use of the brand’s exclusive waterproof microfibre system.

The combination of Tour Lock technology and Cross System Protection on the sole of the shoe ensures that the soft spikes provide extreme grip and enable the golfer to balance performance from any stance. The shoe comes with Red and Black laces to suit the wearer’s choice of outfit.

VERDICT

The Duca del Cosma HERITAGE really stands out amongst the crowd. Golf shoes in recent years tend to have a 'sporty' design, almost looking like they could be trainers. This is a popular design trend that most brands are now following, but what Duca del Cosma has produced with the HERITAGE shoe is a classic-looking golf shoe combined with modern technology.

For someone who typically wears more modern designs, I actually love the look of the HERITAGE shoe. I think the brogue detailing looks fantastic, especially on the white leather as it makes the pattern stand out that little bit more.

The colour scheme of the White HERITAGE shoe is very clean, while the navy laces and details make a brilliant combination. The colour combination underneath the shoe works very well and the orange 'Duca del Cosma' writing just adds to the classy look of this shoe.

The HERITAGE shoe provided excellent traction and a stable feel, but the leather also felt very soft. My feet remained dry in the wet grass and the shoe was extremely breathable, keeping my feet comfortable throughout my round.

With an RRP of £209.95, you will pay more than the average shoe on the market but you are getting a premium shoe that looks good and performs even better.
