British Masters: Noren takes lead into final round

Alex Noren will take a commanding three-shot lead into the final round of the British Masters following a bogey-free 65 in round three at The Grove.

Noren is now in pole position to land a hat-trick of victories in four months on the European Tour following wins at the Scottish Open in July and European Masters in September.

But the 34-year-old is taking nothing for granted.

"I know from experience that it's not that easy to hold leads," said Noren. "Anybody can come from behind and shoot eight under. You never know.

"I'm just trying to work on the things I work on with my coach and with my caddie and if I manage to pull it off, I do, but otherwise, you know, you go on."

The Swede, who sits at 16-under, leads England's Richard Bland by three shots, while Bernd Wiesberger, Peter Hanson, Richard Sterne and Tommy Fleetwood trail by four.

Lee Westwood lies a further shot adrift on 11-under alongside Marcel Siem, with Graeme McDowell back on 10-under.
