Dustin Johnson lands BMW Championship
World number two seals three-shot win after using new TaylorMade putter.
Dustin Johnson relied on a new TaylorMade Spider Limited putter to help seal a three-shot victory over Paul Casey at the BMW Championship.
Johnson, 32, who carded a final-round 67 to post a 23-under total at Crooked Stick, now moves into the outright lead in the season-long FedEx Cup race.
The win marks Johnson's 12th PGA Tour title and third victory in his last eight tournaments.
It also edges him a step closer to Jason Day in the world rankings, especially as the world number one withdrew midway through the final round after sustaining a back injury.

Johnson was not only typically dominant off the tee with his TaylorMade M1 driver, averaging a whopping 319 yards, but he caught fire on the greens too by ranking second in strokes gained putting (7.307).
After playing a couple of practice rounds with Day recently, Johnson made the switch to the Australian's red wand, but then decided to try the standard model out as it better fit his eyes.

It was love at first sight.
“I had the same one that Jason was using, it was the red one,” said Johnson.
“And, I don't know, for some reason I was putting with it and I was putting good with it and right before we were about to tee off on Thursday I'm like, ‘A.J. [Johnson’s brother Austin, who serves as his caddie], don't you have the same one in black?’ And he says, ‘Yeah,’ and I said, ‘Go get it.’ ”
TaylorMade's Spider Limited putter is made of a 304 stainless steel frame and a lightweight 6061 aluminum body that enables weight to be positioned at the extremities improving stability and high MOI.
Not that the big-hitting American cares much for all that.
“I don't go into that stuff,” he said. “As long as it goes where I'm looking!”
