In our latest driving range feature, GolfMagic's expert panel of judges including our Editor Andy Roberts and Equipment Editor Tom Usher have selected a mix of indoor and outdoor settings to suit personal preferences.
From the latest launch monitor tech and general presentation of range bays to value for money and friendly professional staff, we have taken everything into account below.
Best Golf Driving Ranges in London and South East
While there might be hundreds of outdoor and indoor ranges to choose from dotted around London's capital, we believe there are five that stand out from the crowd based on our experiences with them down the years from equipment testing and general practice here at GolfMagic.
Let's dive in, starting with our favourite of the bunch that can easily be accessed via the tube...

Greenwich Peninsula Golf Driving Range
This popular N1Golf London venue has 60 bays across its two-tier range, with incredible views of the city, especially at night.
It really is something else when you are bashing balls out into a London-lit skyline over the River Thames and next door to the famous O2 Arena.
Greenwich Peninsula Golf Driving Range is uniquely positioned as the only golf range in central London.
We also love this facility because it has a 3,000 sq ft American Golf store where you can pick up all your latest golf goodies for your bag.
You've then got a brilliant N1 Academy on hand with eight full-time PGA coaches.
Furthermore, there is a nice restaurant and bar for you and your family or partner to unwind in, and there is free parking up to 60 cars should you not wish to jump on the tube, which is only a short walk away from North Greenwich Tube Station.
This driving range also takes advantage of an ‘Inrange’ App that uses shot tracking technology and adaptive challenges that are customised to your handicap.
Gone are the days of just dropping a basket of balls down and smashing them away thinking 'oh well that was good, I think...' You actually have real shot data to help you maximise your performance with each club in the bag, and you can then take all that knowledge with you to the golf course.
There is also a CrazyPutt Adventure Golf on site, perfect for family days out or even date nights.
Greenwich Peninsula Driving Range is rightly a fan favourite for all London and South East golfers.

Urban Golf
Indoor golf is becoming all the rage these days, and Urban Golf is definitely a popular hotspot for those working or living in the capital.
Urban Golf provides the best indoor golf simulator experience at the world’s coolest clubhouse.
The venue offers 11 state-of-the-art simulators where visitors can drink craft beer, spirits and cocktails while they play.
There are also giant comfortable sofas for you to chill out on, and there is also the option of a VIP studio, which is very cool indeed as it gives you your own space away from the other bays.
Golfers can also listen to a live DJ while playing 18 holes at one of the world's best courses such as the Old Course at St Andrews or Pebble Beach in the United States.
There are loads of other games available to cater for interest levels.
You can of course work hard on your game here, but it's more of a fun, chilled out, good vibes setting than anything and we love that.
It's a perfect venue for not just ardent golfers but also company evenings and date nights.
Urban Golf is without question one of our favourite golf hotspots in London, especially since it's so easily accesible via the tube.

Silvermere Golf Club
Silvermere GC has firmly established itself as one of the leading and most innovative practice facilities in the South East with its 48 bays, two-tiered driving range.
We have been visiting this Surrey venue for years, and if truth be told it gets better every year.
This roof-terraced driving range features clever Toptracer technology, which is available in all 48 bays.
Toptracer at Silvermere gives you accurate yardages on every shot, shows you your shot trajectory and also lets you get competitive with games.
