Justin Rose cost himself in the region of $120,000 after flubbing THREE straight chips en route to an EIGHT on the par-4 8th hole in the final round of the Tour Championship.
Not that last year's FedEx Cup champion will be losing much sleep over his disastrous short-game display on Sunday, but his quadruple-bogey eight halted the Englishman's fast start to the final round following four birdies in the space of five holes from the third.
Rose pipped a drive down the middle of the fairway and left himself 168 yards into the hole. From there he found the rough short of the green on a sidehill lie, perilously close to the water.
He then flubbed the first chip and the ball trickled down the slope and was fortunate to stay dry. He then did exactly the same with his second effort, and similarly with his third. Rose eventually chipped up onto the green and then went on to card an eight.

The Englishman signed for a 2-over 72 to finish 3-over par in a tie for 26th and 21 strokes behind eventual winner Rory McIlroy.
Rose still picked up a cool $430,000 for his efforts in the FedEx Cup.
McIlroy won his third tournament of the PGA Tour season and took home a single-event record $15 million for his four-stroke romp at the Tour Championship.
The Northern Irishman finished on 18-under par and four clear of Xander Schauffele, and five clear of Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka.
The win moves McIlroy back to second in the world, giving him the opportunity to move back to World No.1 for the first time since September 2015 should he go on to win both this week's European Masters and next month's BMW PGA at Wentworth.
FEDEX CUP REACTION: RORY CLAIMS "I WANT TO BE MORE LIKE BROOKS"
The $45 million dished out to the world's best players on Sunday was not official PGA Tour prize money, but rather FedEx Cup bonus money. Still, it marked the richest tournament in PGA Tour history.
There was a record $70 million available as bonus money during the 2018-19 PGA Tour season. The Wyndham Rewards Top 10 snagged the first $10 million. Those players who finished in top 10 of the regular-season standings split that bounty.
Koepka finished first and grabbed $2 million.
That left $60 million in FedEx Cup cash – $45 million of which was awarded at East Lake in the final event of the PGA Tour season and the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Eight players at East Lake earned at least $1 million.
