Justin Thomas might be battling an illness on the eve of his first appearance at this week's Open de France at Le Golf National, but his grandma sure has given him a gee up via text.
Thomas starts as pre-tournament favourite for this week's European Tour event at the venue that will stage this year's Ryder Cup clash between Europe and the United States from September 28 to 30.
The world number two made the cut in last week's Travelers Championship but was struggling with an illness en route to battling to a tie for 56th - however Grandma Thomas is confident her son will bounce back on European soil this week.
Well, providing the "s***-kickin antibiotics" do the job!
Thomas shared their conversation over text via his Twitter account earlier today...
Just arrived in France! I can always count on my grandma for a good heart felt text she’s the best! pic.twitter.com/WEwgRH4Pc0— Justin Thomas (@JustinThomas34) June 25, 2018
Thomas certainly appears to be looking a little better, and he's already been posing in front of Paris' famous Eiffel Tower.
