PGA Tour pro Bud Cauley in car accident

Bud Cauley was involved in a car accident just hours after missing the cut at the Memorial Tournament on Friday evening. 

Cauley, who carded round of 77 and 76 at Muirfield Village, was a passenger in the car and is being treated for five broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a fractured lower left leg.

The 28-year-old American was scheduled to play Monday’s US Open qualifier in Memphis, but has since withdrawn. 

Cauley missed the 2015 season following shoulder surgery in September of 2014, but he rebounded the last two years and has two top-10 finishes this season.
