There are many players who excel at both tennis and golf and newly crowned US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz falls directly into that category.

Former World No.7 tennis player Mardy Fish became the latest celebrity golfer to compete on the PGA Tour. He played in the 3M Open back in July but he, unfortunately, missed the cut.

The legendary Jack Nicklaus even described Fish as the best non-professional golfer he had ever seen. Fish earned a sponsorship exemption for the event which was eventually won by Tony Finau.

Rafael Nadal, a 22-time grand slam champion and arguably the greatest player ever, reportedly plays off scratch in his spare time. Nadal has a rather unorthodox right-handed swing.

It is unclear as to what level young Alcaraz has reached with his golf game, but by the looks of his swing in the footage above, he could be competing with his fellow Spaniard in no time.

Having become a major champion at such an early stage in his career, as well as becoming the World No.1, there's nothing to suggest he couldn't reach Nadal's heights in the tennis world, let alone his golf exploits.

Alcaraz beat Casper Ruud 6-4 2-6 7-6 (7-1) 6-3 in his first major final at Flushing Meadows. He is the first teenager to reach the top of the world rankings in the history of the ATP rankings.

"This is something which I dreamt of since I was a kid, being number one in the world and a champion of a Grand Slam," said Alcaraz.

"It is something I have worked very hard for. It is really, really special."
