Brooks Koepka has torn into Matthew Wolff, accusing him of 'giving up' during LIV Golf rounds while on his Smash side.

Things appeared to be going well for Wolff in the early part of the 2023 campaign, with the American posting three respectful finishes in Mayakoba, Tucson and Orlando.

But unfortunately for Wolff - whose troubles on the course have been well documented since making his PGA Tour debut - his form dipped.

Then, curiously, Wolff removed any mention of Smash across his social media pages before Koepka won the 2023 PGA Championship.

It was speculated that Koepka thought Wolff wasn't gelling with the rest of the side and, the 24-year-old tried to get a mid-season trade with another side but there were no takers.

Now we have confirmation that Koepka was less than pleased with Wolff.

In a report by SI's Alex Miceli, Koepka went in hard on Wolff, saying that he's a 'wasted talent'.

Koepka told Miceli:

"I mean, when you quit on your round, you give up and stuff like that, that's not competing. I'm not a big fan of that. You don't work hard. It's very tough. It's very tough to have even like a team dynamic when you've got one guy that won't work, one guy is not going to give any effort, he's going to quit on the course, break clubs, gets down, bad body language, it's very tough. I've basically given up on him—a lot of talent, but I mean the talent's wasted."

As for Wolff, he told the publication:

"I'm here, you know, trying to do what I can to play the best round of golf and that's going to help the team. I'm just here to focus on myself and try to play some good golf and that's what everyone's really trying to do, because golf is trying to put the best score up and then if that helps your team it's great."

Apparently Wolff confirmed that he wasn't on another team in London this week.
