In an unsurprising move over the weekend, LIV Golf's Pat Perez put the boss of the PGA Tour in his crosshairs, now Dustin Johnson has targeted his former teammate.

Perez made no secret of his apparent disdain for commissioner Jay Monahan after the breakaway tour's event in Adelaide.

Johnson decided to take a swipe at his former teammate Talor Gooch in the immediate aftermath of his maiden LIV Golf victory.

Johnson made the decision to axe Gooch from his 4 Aces in the off-season in favour of Peter Uihlein.

What sparked that decision we're not too sure, given the 4 Aces topped the team standings with four victories in LIV's inaugural 'beta test' season.

Gooch was traded for Peter Uihlien and it's taken the all-American team four events to pick up a victory in 2023.

Johnson's 4 Aces have had podium finishes across the first three events so it wasn't as if things were going too badly.

They produced a sizzling finish at The Grange Golf Club thanks to Patrick Reed shooting 65, Johnson posting a 67 and Peter Uihlein contributing a 66.

Johnson previously joked that when the 4 Aces won LIV's $50m team championship in Miami it would be 'the last time' Gooch would stand on the podium.

Asked about Gooch's victory, Johnson said:

"Well, yeah, I didn't want him to win. I never want any other team to win than mine.
"Yeah, obviously I like Talor, and he did really well for us last year, and obviously he played great this week. But yeah, I'm glad we snipped him, though, for sure, just to give it to him a little bit more."

Gooch posted consecutive rounds of 62 to take a 10-stroke lead into the final round of LIV Golf Adelaide.

He survived an almighty wobble during the middle of his round and in the end took the $4m top prize with a three-stroke win over India's Anirban Lahiri,

There were crazy scenes as Brooks Koepka's younger brother Chase drained a hole-in-one at No. 12.

Johnson will be in action once again with LIV Golf in Singapore at Sentosa Golf Club over 28-30 April.
