Charley Hull challenges random dude to golf match after 'sexist' DM

Charley Hull has hit back at a 3-handicap male golfer who commented on Twitter he "would make every cut on the LPGA Tour and be a Top 20 player".

Hull, 27, took to Twitter after recording her fifth runner-up finish of the season following an agonising playoff loss to Minjee Lee at the Kroger Queen City Championship on Sunday.

After taking to her socials to reflect on another brilliant week on the LPGA Tour, Hull's attention was drawn to a tweet sent by golf stat supremo Lou Stagner, who informed his followers about a certain DM he received from a 3-handicap male golfer.

The DM from the golfer read:

"I am a 3 handicapper that plays from 6900 yards and I hit my driver 290. I would make every cut on the LPGA and be a top 20 player."

Stagner tweeted:

"I love some of the direct messages I get. This guy would finish DFL in every single event."

Upon reading this tweet, World No.8 Hull could not help but get involved.

Hull, who has won twice on the LPGA Tour, tweeted:

"Shall we sort this game out [eyes]. I'll let him play off the red tees whilst I'll play off the whites."

Hull's tweet was applauded by her followers, and even YouTube golf sensation Peter Finch says he wants to come and film the match.

Here's how others reacted:

"Yes please do this, my monies on Charley."

"I would give my left arm to watch this occur LIVE."

"This could be a YouTube series that would be absolutely massive."

"Does he think LPGA players are a 3 handicap or worse?!"

"Charley, you could play from the parking lot while this guy tees it up 50 from the green all day and you'd still win by 10."

"I would so watch that."

"Such a sexist DM, great response Charley."

"This needs to be a PPV."

"How many strokes you giving him, Charley?"

What do you make of the tweet? How many shots would Charley beat a 3-handicap golfer by then?! Share your thoughts and comments over on the GolfMagic social media channels.
