iGolf has enjoyed its strongest-ever month for new subscribers, highlighting the continued rise of non-club golf and its growing role in attracting more people to the game.

The platform welcomed more than 6,100 new subscribers in May, a record monthly total as golfers continue to embrace flexible ways to obtain a Handicap Index® and track their performance.

For golfers unfamiliar with the service, iGolf is England Golf's subscription platform for golfers who are not members of an affiliated club.

For £47 a year, members receive an official World Handicap System (WHS) Handicap Index, personal liability insurance and access to score and performance tracking through the My EG app.

The milestone comes amid sustained growth across the platform.

Engagement levels also reached new highs during May, with iGolfers recording 105,445 rounds - the first time monthly submissions have exceeded 100,000 rounds.

Between January and May, more than 270,500 scores were submitted, representing a 12.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

The figures underline the growing popularity of iGolf among golfers seeking greater flexibility, while also reinforcing its importance as a pathway into traditional club membership.

iGolf's growing community is also reflected online, with the platform recently surpassing 10,000 followers on Instagram.

Claire Hodgson, iGolf/iPlay Director, said: "This record month is a fantastic milestone for iGolf and a testament to the growing appetite for the game. We're seeing more people than ever discovering golf, gaining their first Handicap Index® and building a real connection with the sport.

"What’s particularly encouraging is how iGolf is supporting golfers on their journey - from those taking their very first steps, to many who are now moving into club membership and becoming part of the wider golf community. That progression is vital to the long-term health of the sport, and we’re incredibly proud to play a role in it."

iGolf continues to provide golfers with a flexible and accessible way to play, submit scores and develop their game, helping more people engage with golf on their own terms.
