Cobra's new 'S-for-Sexy' drivers

Cobra Golf, which last year joined forces with the clothing and shoe brand Puma Golf, is set to make a big impression with its first line of S3 and S3 Max drivers for men and women from its stable in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Aimed at the avid golfer looking for both distance and accuracy with an opportunity to customise their ball flight, the adjustable Cobra S3 driver is expected to cost £249.

Similar to the proven Cobra ZL driver, the Cobra S3 features the ability to adjust the face angle (open, neutral or closed) to suit a player's preferred ball flight and comes in four lofts (8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 degrees). However, it differs with the introduction of new E9 face technology to expand its forgiving sweet zone across the clubface.

The black carbon crown and sole and black Voodoo shaft as standard, help make it a sexy, appealing package.

The S3 Max driver (£219) has an offset design of the head, encouraging a draw bias that will appeal to those mid to high handicappers, who tend to leak the ball to the right but are desperate to keep the ball on the fairway, while unloading their power.

Similarly black in head and shaft it's non adjustable but available in 9.5,10.5 and 11.5 degree lofts.
There are Cobra S3 and Cobra S3 Max (offset) options for women with lofts limited to 13.5 and 15 degrees respectively. Prices are £249 (S3) and £219 (S3 Max).
