FootJoy's 2010 outerwear unveiled
Stylish and colourful from the No.1 shoe and glove manufacturer
Making every day playable is the slogan FootJoy is promoting with its 2010 collection of golf waterproof and windproof clothing launched this week. Already No.1 in the golf shoe and golf glove sector of the markets, the St Ives-based company aims to challenge its rivals in this highly competitive sector.
And having had a sneak preview recently the range looks impressive with its contrasting panels and zips, storm collars and fashionable cut.
Improved technology and new colour options are the hallmarks of the new Tour Collection, Performance, FJ Sport and Women's ranges where style, comfort and water repellency are key features to underline that FootJoy outerwear clothing helps make the game playable whatever the weather.
The Tour Collection features waterproof and breathable outerwear tried and tested by Tour pros and includes a DWR (durable water repellency) surface finish which encourages any moisture to easily bead off the garment, and allows the golfer to adjust the fullness of the jacket, (often a hazard when putting) through the pockets.
A new addition is the FJ Performance SoftShell jacket, which benefits from a four-way stretch shell for freedom of movement as well as outstanding protection. FJ Sport lines offer contemporary styling and Lightweight Sta-Dry Extreme technology to keep the player bone-dry.
FootJoy's European marketing manager, Richard Fryer told me: "We're excited about the 2010 range. We've already had some great feedback from our Tour players as well as consumers and retailers. The product development and design teams have taken all this on board to ensure we're offering wide choice of product to suit everyone. "
