Mashie irons and fairway metals and Mashie Plus hybrids available soon

Introducing Cleveland

There’s a growing trend to combine cavity-back irons with easy-to-hit hybrids to help amateurs improve their performance.

And in Cleveland Golf’s latest Mashie Plus utility clubs and Mashie irons, the company claims to have produced equipment engineered for distance, accuracy and versatility.

The latest 2012 Mashie Plus hybrids are available in numbers 3, 4 and 5-loft options at £129.99 each featuring Gliderail technology to decrease ‘turf drag’ and ‘generate ‘more lift and speed at impact’ from a variety of lies.

Cleveland’s ‘Ultralite technology’ in the Miyazaki C. Kua 59 Series graphite shaft also reduces club weight, in turn increasing clubhead speed for less effort.
Combined with the Mashie Plus hybrids, the Mashie irons (6-iron to pitching wedge) cost £325 or £375 respectively for an eight-club set depending on whether they have steel or graphite shafts.

Cleveland says the forgiving irons are ideal for the improver golfer with a progressive sole design to suit all conditions and encourage accuracy and distance. A gap wedge and sand wedge are also available.

Completing the latest Cleveland package are Mashie fairway metals with the distinctive silver metallic crown and with similar technological features to the hybrids, priced at £129.99 each.
