TaylorMade opens performance centre

Kingsfield - fit for a king!

TaylorMade has opened its latest fitting centre at the Kingsfield Golf Centre, Linlithgow, Scotland, using the TrackMan system - a radar sensor that identifies and plots clubhead, and ball speed, 'smash factor', ball flight and spin rate to help golfers choose the right equipment to suit their game.

The facilities also include an 18-hole practice putting green, golf course and  practice areas. Touyr player Paul Broadhurst is a regular visitor with his coach Gary Nicol, along with the Scottish Ladies national squads.

Says TaylorMade's Matt Johnson: "This performance centre is an extremely exciting project as it enables us to support our official stockists and offers golfers of all standards an experience and how we work with our staff players."

Hourl-long fitting sessions for irons or woods cost £45 each and are by appointment only, when the fitter uses the TaylorMade SelectFit system to show a complete range of products. After the fitting, the specifications are sent to the TaylorMade stockist who booked the appointment.

Kingsfield Golf Centre has been developed over the last 15 years as part of a farm diversification project by the Arkley family. As well Nicol there are five professional coaches who have a base at Kingsfield including Adam Hunter (coach to Paul Lawrie),  and Kevin Craggs (coach to Catriona Matthew and the Scottish LGA Association).
