Andrew Novak secured his maiden individual PGA Tour victory at the Mexico Open, while Miyu Yamashita made history by successfully defending her Maybank Championship title.

Srixon enjoyed a weekend to remember as Andrew Novak and Miyu Yamashita secured impressive victories at the Mexico Open and Maybank Championship respectively.
Novak claimed his maiden individual PGA Tour title with a commanding five-shot victory in Mexico, while Yamashita successfully defended her Maybank Championship crown with a two-shot win over Yan Liu.
The results marked a significant double success for Srixon, with both players relying on the brand's equipment during their respective victories.
Andrew Novak claims maiden individual PGA Tour title
Novak produced an outstanding performance at the Mexico Open, recording four consecutive rounds in the 60s to finish five shots clear of the field.
The American carded rounds of 67, 61, 62 and 69, ranking second in Strokes Gained: Approach and first in Strokes Gained: Total across the tournament.
The victory was Novak's second on the PGA Tour, although his previous success came alongside Ben Griffin at the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
This time, he enjoyed the individual spotlight, securing a breakthrough victory that could have significant implications for his career.
Speaking afterwards, Novak said: "I think the confidence is there. Like I felt like this is a good way to prove my confidence to myself. Yes, I should be confident."
He also highlighted the opportunities the victory could bring, particularly with changes to the PGA Tour expected in 2028.
