The introduction of
TayorMade’s
new rac LT irons, closely pursues the launch of its updated rac OS models and claims to combine the looks, size and workability of a forged iron with a low trajectory flight and the forgiving, playability of an oversized cavity back.

The LT (Low Trajectory) iron, says TaylorMade, delivers a lower, more powerful but easy-to-control ball flight, for players who generate from 85 to 115 mph of clubhead speed but who prefer the look of a forged blade.

Thin ‘feel pockets’ and the shape and depth of the cavity pad combine to reduce vibration at impact. A thinner clubface helps save weight to improve the centre of gravity location and increase impact velocity, say the makers.

Shaft options include the new graphite LT85 and T-Step Pro 110-gram steel. Tip-firm, both promote a lower trajectory. Flexes are R,S and X

The range of options in the set are from 2-iron to 9-iron, plus PW, AW and SW, with a recommended price of £599 for steel shafts and £699 for graphite (3-PW). They will be available in right and left-handed models from the beginning of December.
