Nike reveals VR Pro Limited Edition driver
A club Casey and Kim have helped to develop
Paul Casey and Anthony Kim are among the players who already have the latest Nike VR Pro Limited Edition driver in their respective bags.
Both players have provided feedback to Nike engineers and designers in creating a driver that Nike says combines Tour-level distance with a player’s ability to shape shots at will.
With its 430cc pear-shaped head, the club has a forged construction that Nike says delivers both feel and control and uses NexCOR face technology to maximise distance from added ball speed off the thin face.
The sole of the Nike VR Pro driver features Nike’s distinctive ‘variable compression channel’ - a groove that it claims helps to increase speed at impact at more spots on the club face. The club also has an MRC Diamana ‘Ahina’ shaft with a stiffer mid and tip section than its predecessor.
It will be available in mid-November, priced £299, in 8.5-degree (right-hand only), 9.5- and 10.5-degree loft options with X, S, and R flexes. Custom options also available.
