A shock absorbing gel and strategically-placed nickel weights feature in the latest 601 irons being launched by the Alton-based club-makers,

Srixon Sports Europe
.

The WS (weight optimization and shock absorption) system, claims to promote greater distant, accuracy and feel and is also incorporated into the latest Z-Ti driver, M-steel fairway metals and AD hybrids.

The new irons aim to encourage higher launch and lower spin - with weights, a thinner face and under cut sole as well as more forgiveness and stability with the gel. Recommended price is £469 with graphite shafts or £349 for steel (4-iron to sand wedge, regular or stiff shaft). Prices for women (5-SW) are £399, right hand only.

Loft options for men are 9.5 (stiff) and 10.5 and 11.5 (regular) and 13 (women). Shaft is the SV3006 graphite and recommend price is £199.

Completing the Srixon line-up is the M-steel fairway metal with either 15 or 18 degrees of loft (£149) and the AD hybrid available in 19, 22 and 25 degrees for men and 22 and 25 degrees for women. Price is £99.
