If you're looking to improve your short game,
Masters Golf, based in Weston-super-Mare, is launching a range of clubs for pitching and chipping.

Its latest line of Spin Tech wedges, with gun metal finish and U-grooves, include models with 52, 56, 60 and 64 degrees of loft, while the stainless steel mirror finish clubs come in 56, 60 and 62-degree options with steel shafts and Lamkin grips. Both have a large clubface area, high toe line and wide soles and will cost £39.99.

Also new is the Masterchip Five 2-ball chipper with a 35-degree face loft costing £29.99 two models have been re-released for 2007. The Masterchip Three is a more basic model, featuring a stainless steel head with a 40 degree loft (£24.99) and the 41-degree Powertrac costs just £13.99.

Cobra Golf and Wilson Staff
are staging a series of demo days around the UK to launch their respective new ranges of clubs.


Cobra
will be revealing its Speed LD metals, S9, FP and CB irons and Baffler hybrids, while Wilson Staff is challenging golfers to compare their favourite iron against the new Wilson Staff Di7 at 15 different venues during April by hitting five shots with each club and having the results compared.

Over a three month period - from April to July - the Cobra technicians will stage more than 380

club head, ball speed and launch angle to help potential customers select the right driver, fairway metal, irons or Baffler

, starts at Silvermere in Surrey on April 2 and ends at The De Vere Belfry on April 19, before heading for the London Golf Show at ExCel London a week later.

The Wilson Staff tech van will support each challenge day and be used to build clubs to meet individual specifications. Flightscope is providing the official ball tracking radar device for the Di7 Challenge events plotting carry distance, launch angle, ball velocity, clubhead speed, dispersion and 3D flight path. Each player taking up the Di7 challenge receives a sleeve of the Wilson Staff Dx2 Soft golf ball.
