Miguel Angel Jimenez’s third victory of the year - at the Omega European Masters at Crans Sur Sierre in Switzerland - marks the first worldwide Tour win for the company’s new Ping Scottsdale putter range.

Jimenez, a loyal Ping player for many years, changed to the Scottsdale Pick-me-up model at  the Johnnie Walker Championship in Scotland, where his tie for third place helped secure his fourth Ryder Cup appearance.

In the Swiss mountains, a course-record 61 in the second round gave the Spaniard a lead he never relinquished and he finished the four rounds 21-under-par, three shots clear of runner-up Edoardo Molinari. It was his third straight top 10 finish and moved him to eighth place in the Race to Dubai standings.

In addition to winning with the new putter, Jimenez was the first Ping staff player to win with the new Ping S56 irons and Ping Tour-S wedges when he captured the Alstom Open de France earlier in the year - his first outing with the blade-style irons. The new speciality wedges were added to his bag the week before at the U.S. Open.

“I have great trust in the Ping team to provide me with the best products in the world,” said Jimenez, who won for the 18th time on the European Tour. “I’m honoured to be the first to win with three new products, but I know there will be many more victories for the Ping. "
“Miguel’s play this year has been phenomenal,” said John Solheim, the company chairman “Three wins and a fourth Ryder Cup appearance is an amazing season."
