PING Fourball player hits two aces in a single round

Double ace Ann shirks 167 million-to-one odds

Edgbaston golfer Ann Bache has achieved the unbelievable feat of two holes-in-one during a single round.

Ann, playing in this month’s PING Fourball Pairs at the Birmingham club, aced the 139-yard third and the 119-yard seventh with her PING Rapture 6- and 7-irons respectively.

Playing off a 21 handicap, Ann couldn’t believe what had happened when she saw the balls disappear.

“I know it sounds obvious, but it was truly unbelievable,” she gushed. “When the first one dropped, I was thrilled, but I’m struggling to find words to describe the moment when we realised I’d holed the second.

“It was, frankly, amazing.”

As a reward for her phenomenal achievement, PING have supplied Ann with two commemorative certificates and a cart bag.

“I’d like to thank PING, firstly for putting on such a wonderful event, and secondly for the fantastic gesture afterwards. I couldn’t have done it without my beloved Rapture irons!”
