Jon Rahm revealed that Phil Mickelson was almost "hiding" to congratulate him at The Masters while speaking on the CBS broadcast of the PGA Tour's RBC Heritage Sunday.
Jon Rahm has revealed that LIV Golf's Phil Mickelson was almost "hiding" to congratulate the Spaniard on his Masters triumph at Augusta National a few weeks ago.
Rahm, who finished tied for fifteenth at the PGA Tour's RBC Heritage this past week, joined the CBS broadcast to do live commentary following the completion of his own round on Sunday.
And it seems, online at least, Rahm has received high praise for what he brought to Sunday's broadcast:

It was during that commentary segment that Rahm admitted Mickelson had discreetly congratulated him on his win, per Golf Channel.
Mickelson, a three-time Masters champion himself, has been the centre of plenty controversy since his now infamous comments were published last February. The 52-year-old opted out of that last year's Masters Tournament, and subsequently joined Greg Norman's LIV Golf League that June.
On Sunday at The Masters, Mickelson made a late charge up the leaderboard, shooting a 7-under 65. However, it wasn't enough to grab a fourth title as Rahm shot a 3-under 69 that was more than enough to secure the win.

Mickelson and his fellow LIV Golf player, Brooks Koepka, finished tied for second, four strokes back.
Rahm and Mickelson have known each other longer than Rahm has even played on the PGA Tour. Rahm attended Arizona State University, the same school that Mickelson went to years prior, and Rahm was actually coached there by Mickelson's brother, Tim.
"Just after [Tim], Phil was hiding almost in the columns and also congratulated me,” Rahm had said about the situation at Augusta.
But that was just one of the many interesting comments Rahm made during his time adding commentary to the CBS broadcast at Harbour Town Golf Links.
Rahm also said he wasn't sure how much time he'd take off from golf following a hectic past few weeks.
He added:
While he may be taking a small break now, it probably won't be the last time we see Rahm join the CBS broadcasters to give a little bit of insight. In addition to the glowing reviews, Rahm himself said he was looking forward to doing it again.
