PGA Tour pro Byeong Hun An appeared to be on the receiving end of a racist remark during the Cadence Bank Houston Open.
An has taken to social media to reveal what transpired at Memorial Park Golf Course.
He was playing alongside Seung-Yul Noh and S.H. Kim during the first two rounds. He said the exchange happened after he had played a "nice shot".
Wrote Kim on Twitter:
It was fun to play with other two koreans today until some fan said “good shot Kim…oh that was An. It’s all the same anyways”

This is not the first time this year An has been on the receiving end of such a comment.
During the Fortinet Championship he was mistaken for Hideki Matsuyama.

Mt first “nice shot Hideki” of the year today. That moment I knew I was back on the Tour. Feels nice.

That remark came during the second round of the PGA Tour's 2023 season-opening event at Silverado Country Club as he carded a 4-under 68.
Last weekend's tournament was won by Tony Finau, who took home a cheque for $1.5m with after picking up his fifth PGA Tour victory.
As for An, he finished in T-53 and earned $20,118.
The 31-year-old South Korean regained his full playing rights on the PGA Tour via the Korn Ferry Tour.
Despite earning more than $10m during his PGA Tour career, he remains winless. He has however won on the Korn Ferry Tour, European Tour and on the Challenge Tour.
An is currently the World No. 226. He turned professional in 2011.
