Presidents Cup Day 1 Foursomes Matches - REVEALED!

It was likely always going to happen but the United States and Internationals have sent out their strongest two pairings in the opening Foursomes match of the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte on Thursday.

US captain Davis Love has kept faith with best friends Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele and stuck them up against Trevor Immelman's best two International players in former major champions Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama.

But the powerful American pairings keep on coming thereafter on day one as Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth take on Sungjae Im and Corey Conners in match two. 

Collin Morikawa and debutant Cameron Young then battle Tom Kim and KH Lee in match three, before two of the year's most impressive players Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns face Si Woo Kim and Cam Davis in the fourth match of the day. 

Then in the fifth and final match Tony Finau and last week's winner Max Homa take on Taylor Pendrith and Mito Pereira. 

That means there is no play for Kevin Kisner, Billy Horschel, Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Sebastian Munoz on the opening day.
