Tiger Woods talks about the time he shot 59 ahead of the 1997 Masters.
Tiger Woods has revealed how Mark O'Meara walked off during their round of golf at Isleworth just days before Woods went on to win The Masters in 1997.
Woods, speaking to Golf Digest, discussed the time that he shot a magic round of 59 with his close friend O'Meara and then followed it up with another low one where he started the round with a birdie and a hole-in-one.
That was enough for O'Meara. He'd had enough.

"So I was playing with Mark O'Meara, this is in 1997, a week prior to the Masters, we teed off on the back nine at Isleworth," Woods told Golf Digest.
"I parred 10, birdied 11 and 12, eagled 13, I birdied 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 1.
"I have a 3-iron into No.3, the par-5, and made par. I have a 5-iron into 7, the par-5, and made par, and I still shoot 59.
"I had an opportunity to shoot something really low.
"The next day we then teed off on 10 again, and I birdied 10 and then made a hole-in-one on 11, and then Mark left," laughed Woods.
"So it was a hell of a three days. I've never shot a 60 in my life, I've shot 61 a bunch of times but I've only shot 59 once."
Woods of course memorably went on to win the 1997 Masters the following week in what would be the first of his 15 career major titles.
He became the youngest golfer to win The Masters at the age of 21, as well as the first non-white player to win at Augusta National.
