Joel Dahmen stormed onto the 18th green to congratulate Stephan Jaeger on landing his maiden PGA Tour title before his wife Shelby could even get to him for a kiss.

Dahmen was seen holding his son and then shouting 'Yeaaaaah, Jaeger bomb!' as he charged onto the green to congratulate Jaeger on clinching his first title in 135 starts on the PGA Tour at the Texas Children's Houston Open

Netflix 'Full Swing' star Dahmen gave Jaeger a hug and then said: "Awesome finish dude."

Jaeger then walked over to his wife Shelby for a kiss and a hug with son Harrison.

Dahmen missed the cut on 4-over par following rounds of 69 and 75.

Jaeger, 34, carded a final-round 67 to see out a narrow one-stroke victory over World No.1 Scottie Scheffler, defending champion Tony Finau, Alejandro Tosti, Thomas Detry and Taylor Moore.

He finished the week on 12-under par.

The German picked up a first-prize cheque for $1.6m following his maiden win.

Scheffler missed a short five-footer for birdie on the 18th to hand Jaeger the win.

The runaway FedEx Cup leader was looking to become the first player to win three straight tournaments on the PGA Tour since Dustin Johnson in 2017.

Scheffler was also seeking a first victory in his home state of Texas.

But it was not to be as it was Jaeger's week in Houston.

Jaeger now qualifies for his first-ever trip to The Masters from 11-14 April.

As a result of playing his way into the season's first major at Augusta National, he has decided to withdraw from next week's Texas Open where Rory McIlroy will start a warm tournament favourite.
