Bushnell Neo XS GPS review

'One of the thinnest, lightest and most comfortable golf GPS devices on the market'

Bushnell Neo XS GPS review

Thin, light, comfortable and durable, the Bushnell Neo XS represents one of our favourite golf GPS watches this season.

The Neo XS is pre-loaded with more than 33,000 courses from over 30 countries, and quickly picked up our chosen track.

The watch shows easy-to-read front, middle and back yardages, which saves lots of faffing at the ball. It also automatically recognises hazard and lay-up distances to ensure good course management.

Another good feature is the shot-distance mode, which displays how far you are hitting the ball.

The silicone sports band caused no restriction or irritation during the swing, and it proved waterproof when the heavens opened. Bushnell tells us the device also comprises a scratch-resistant mineral crystal lens.

TESTED: Best golf GPS 2015

Other neat features include an odometer, stopwatch, alarm and timer, while the battery life is as strong as it gets with more than 16 hours of power, equating to over three rounds between charges.

Registering and syncing the device, which with Bushnell never includes a membership fee, is done simply by visiting bushnell.igolf.com

The watch is available in black, white and charcoal.

Verdict

The Bushnell Neo XS is arguably one of the most impressive golf GPS watches in the game today as its very comfortable, easy to operate and just happens to look the part. It also comes with a one-year warranty, so very much looks worth a punt at £159.
